Lauren was born in Midland, Michigan but has lived in Lexington, South Carolina for most of her life. She was homeschooled throughout middle and highschool and developed a passion for exploration, travel and spreading the gospel. Lauren is so excited about serving the people of South Korea!

 

Lauren has always had a passion for language and started learning Korean in 2021. While learning more about the language she also discovered the beauty of the country and the culture. She was able to travel to Seoul, South Korea in 2023 to try her hand at the language and see the beautiful place she had been learning so much about. After returning to the United States she began looking into mission opportunities and discovered Friends Network. She was amazed to see how God had been training her for mission work in South Korea. 

 

Part of the work she will be doing is to prepare Korean students who want to study abroad by teaching and tutoring them in English. She will also be connecting to the community and making friendships with an eternal purpose. Lauren is passionate about spreading the good news of salvation and living out Jesus words in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

 

Some of her favorite activities include, painting, drawing, exercising and learning about new recipes to cook. She also loves spending time with friends and family over a good cup of coffee.
