Bible illustrations now available

Writer: AdminAdmin

Maida Neville currently serves as an artist missionary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She and a group of Lutheran artists recently collaborated on a project to produce illustrations of Bible stories. These illustrations can be used by teachers, parents, missionaries, pastors, and more.

Maida writes:

“Each Biblical account is told in a wordless 2-page set. Visual language can be understood cross-culturally, so these comics can be used across the globe. Rather than relying on text, artists communicated through their page compositions, drawn body language, color palette choices and other illustration conventions.”

Our missionaries know from experience that pictures like these can be a powerful teaching tool. They elicit responses and reactions from Bible learners and are memorable and sharable. As you look at these pictures of Jesus feeding of the 5000, what do you see? Maybe you notice abundance, joy, obedience, provision, or something else. Stories can teach us so much about our God and Savior.

The resources are available for FREE on the WELS Multi-Language Productions website here. They include coloring pages and leader guides. We encourage you to browse through the pictures and make use of these great resources!
