Friends Network will commission its new missionaries in a special service at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 14. The service will be held at New Life Lutheran Church in Shoreview, MN (180 County Rd F, Shoreview, MN 55126).
We are excited to welcome Pastor Jacob (Ge) Zhang as our guest preacher. Jacob is the International Outreach Coordinator at Wisconsin Lutheran Chapel in Madison, WI. He is married to Hannah (Boughton) Zhang, long-time Friends Network Missionary and founder of Rising Eagles School. Jacob received his MDiv from Asia Lutheran Seminary in Hong Kong and then served several years in East Asia prior to moving to Madison with his family.
Pastor Peter Leyrer, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Friends Network, will preside over the service, and we are excited to welcome back Autumn Wakeman as our worship leader as well.
This service marks the beginning of the 25th year of Friends Network ministry, by God’s grace. In this special service we will commission missionaries for service in seven countries, including Korea, Japan, Thailand, Australia, and the Philippines.

Please note: the roads around New Life Lutheran Church are under construction. The parking lot is accessible but drivers should be prepared to drive over unpaved roads to access the main entrance.
